Your Hunt
While hunting here at Trophy Quest, you will be
in the hands of experienced, dedicated guides who love hunting as
much as you do.
Your guides will be constantly scouting and working to help you
take home your trophy. The guides that we employ have, all together,
30+ years of knowledge and experience in the hunting industry. Your
guide will put you in areas where he has sighted the most activity
in recent days. While deer hunting your guide will be the one who
tracks your deer and will be responsible for the removal of the
deer after it is found. (If your Taxidermist has special instructions
on how he or she would like the animal caped please bring that information
with you and share that with your guide.)
We assure you that your guide will do everything possible within
the parameters of the law to get you that shot at a trophy whitetail
or gobbling longbeard. But remember one thing, this is fair chase
hunting, and Mother Nature gives us no guarantees!! Your input is
greatly appreciated and we encourage you to tell us what areas you
would like to hunt in mornings or evenings, and we will do everything
we can to accommodate you in this way. We ask that all hunters listen
to what their guides have to say and abide by all hunting regulations
set by the Illinois DNR, as well as Trophy Quest Outfitters.
Here at Trophy Quest we have provided our hunters
with what we consider to be the safest and most comfortable stands
on the market.
All stands are set long before the season starts on properties
that have been scouted all year long. From these stands, you will
have ample opportunity to shoot in most directions needed to make
an accurate shot at your trophy buck. We believe in minimal limbing
which offers our hunters more cover in a natural environment, less
impact on the surroundings, and better quality hunts. All of our
stands are set at heights ranging from 14’ to 24’ depending
on the topography of the area. We feel we have set the standard
in the outfitting industry by placing multiple stands in one core
area or trail. This allows hunters to sit in the same area no matter
what the wind direction or how often it changes.
Our hunters’ safety is our number one concern. We require
all hunters to wear a safety harness at all times while in the treestand.
If you forget to bring one or do not have one, a harness will be
provided for the duration of your hunt.
